Project managers play a very important role in a building project. They are responsible for making sure that the building is delivered both on time and within budget by reducing risks. Excellent communication skills are needed to keep all teams involved in the project working together in achieving the project’s goals. There may well be more than one project manager on a project. Often project managers will change over the lifetime of a project.
Project managers’ responsibilities in the DQI process:
- Be aware of the DQI process and attend the workshops
- Understand the priorities of the Assessment group
- Assess the findings and results of the DQI process in terms of time and budget implications.
- Communicate any necessary changes brought to light by the DQI process to the relevant teams
