The facilities manager has the job of making sure that everything within the building is working properly so that the people using the building are free to do their work. The facilities manager has the power to influence the quality of life of the people using the building. Depending on the building this could be one individual or a whole team of facilities managers.
Facilities manager’s responsibilities in the DQI process:
- To attend and participate in all the workshops
- Understand the building services proposed for the new building
- Make the supply side aware of how the services will affect the quality of life of the building’s community and its users
- To help the Assessment group understand the effect of the building services proposed for the building
